October 1, 2004

Building Architect Chosen

After an extensive search, the Permanent Building Committee has chosen the firm of Kaestle Boos Associates to design the new facility. Kaestle Boos is a nationally recognized consulting firm specializing in the design of Public Safety Facilities. They have worked with over 60 public safety agencies and become a leading service provider for this specialized building type. The firm recently completed the new North Attleborough police facility. Site Work Begins

Contractors have begun site preparation work. The work will include the demolition of the buildings currently on the site. The contractor hopes to have the demolition completed by mid January 2005.

May 3, 2006

Ground Breaking

Ground breaking ceremonies were held on Wednesday, May 3, 2006. Bilt Rite Construction of Boston has begun work at the site. Over the next few weeks workers will be preparing the site for the pouring of the building footings and foundation.
